Who we are
OutriggerPlan is operated by OutriggerPlan, 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #28269, Casper, WY 82609, United States. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, email info@outriggerplan.com or write to us at the postal address above.
What information we collect
Account details. Your name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted form), and any optional details you add such as phone number, job title, company or organisation name and profile picture.
Crane configurations and lift plans. The working content you create in the app: crane profiles, load chart data you enter, configurations, lift plans, range charts, projects, folders, site notes, images and any team or permission settings. You decide what goes into your workspace.
Subscription and payment details. Your plan, billing period, order and receipt references, invoices, renewal and cancellation history, and the country used for tax. Paddle collects your payment card or bank details directly at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
Support correspondence. The emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
Technical and usage information. Device type, operating system, app version, browser, IP address, approximate region, timestamps, crash reports and records of how features are used. Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics cookies where you have allowed them. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Under UK and EU GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your personal information. Ours are:
- Performance of a contract — creating and running your account, storing and synchronising your crane configurations and lift plans, providing team workspaces, and processing your subscription, invoices, cancellations and refunds.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, preventing misuse and fraud, providing support, and understanding usage so we can improve the product. We balance these against your rights, and use aggregated or minimal data where we can.
- Consent — analytics cookies and marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time, by changing your cookie choice or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Legal obligation — keeping tax, accounting and transaction records, and responding to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your lift plans or crane data for advertising.
Workspaces, teams and shared information
If you join a team workspace, what you add to it may be visible to the workspace owner and to other members, according to that workspace’s settings and permissions. Workspace owners and administrators decide who has access and are responsible for how information is shared within their workspace.
Third parties who process data for us
We use a small number of service providers, who may process personal information on our behalf under written data-processing terms. They may only use it to provide their service to us:
- Paddle.com — payment processing, checkout, invoicing, tax handling, subscription management and refunds. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all of our orders and is a separate data controller for payment data. See paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Cloud hosting and database providers — storing your account, workspace and lift plan data.
- Authentication provider — sign-in and account security.
- Email and support providers — sending service emails and handling support enquiries.
- Analytics and crash-reporting providers — measuring usage and diagnosing faults.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or to a buyer if our business is sold. We will tell you before your information moves to a new controller.
Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our providers operate. Where information leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision. Contact us for a copy of the safeguards we use.
How long we keep it
- Account details, crane configurations and lift plans — for as long as your account is open. After you close or delete your account we delete them within 90 days, and from encrypted backups within a further 90 days.
- Billing and transaction records — seven years from the transaction, because tax and accounting law requires it.
- Support correspondence — three years from your last message to us.
- Technical logs, crash reports and analytics — up to 24 months, then deleted or aggregated so you can no longer be identified.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls that limit staff access to what is needed, and regular backups. No service can be completely secure, so we also ask you to use a strong, unique password. If a data breach affects your rights, we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, GDPR gives you the right to:
- Access — get a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- Erasure — have your personal information deleted;
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format, or have it sent to another provider;
- Restriction and objection — limit or object to how we use your information, including any use based on our legitimate interests;
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where we rely on consent; and
- Complain — to a data protection regulator. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU it is the supervisory authority for your country.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@outriggerplan.com or write to OutriggerPlan, 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #28269, Casper, WY 82609, United States. We reply within 30 days and do not charge a fee. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request. You can also delete your account and its data from within the app at any time.
Children
OutriggerPlan is a professional tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, our providers or the law change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date, and we will email account holders before a significant change takes effect.
